Kieth Olbermann - Special comment

Believe me! You do NOT want to miss this!

KUDOS to Kieth Olbermann! The Hero of the "Lib'rul Media"!

Okay, folks, that's it for today. It's my birthday and I have a bowlful of exotic here, so I'm signing off for the day. (Altho I'll probably be back later when I'm stoned and forget that I was already here.)

Note: This video may "appear" again after this, no, prior to this! YouTube seems to have lost it's little computerized mind lately, (at least as far as I'm concerned). Yesterday it wasn't sending any of my posts despite the fact that I kept hitting "send", "send", "send"; so I manually posted the videos for Ladies Night.

Then, hours later, Lo and Behold! The videos started popping up like young Republican's at a Baptist Social!

So if I see it, I'll delete it. If you see it first, ignore it and come here onnacanna this is where I am typing at...

WOW!

This is some Goooooooooooooooooooooooooood Shit...

Uh...

later

man...

Can You Come?

On Saturday, January 27th, the folks at United for Peace are staging a march on Washington in protest of the Iraq War and the so-called troop surge contemplated by Our Clueless Leader. United for Peace are the same folks who organized the last march on Washington in September 2005, which turned out to be moderately successful, with about 150,000-200,000 congregating, walking, singing and generally enjoying the opportunity to exercise their Constitutional rights. (That is, their Consitutional rights that still existed at that time. There may be even fewer now. )

More details can be found at blondesense.

See you in DC on the 27th!

Chickenhawk Threatens Filibuster

Congress Divided Over Bush War Plan - NEWS - POLITICAL - Comcast.net:

Congress Divided Over Bush War Plan
By JIM KUHNHENN, Associated Press Writer

(<--Senate Minority Leader Sen. Mitch McConnell of Ky.)

WASHINGTON - President Bush's decision to deploy 21,500 additional troops to Iraq drew fierce opposition Thursday from congressional Democrats, but the Senate's top Republican threatened a filibuster to block any legislation expressing disapproval of the plan."

Whut?

Wasn't it only a little over a year ago that the Republi-cons were screaming about the filibuster, threatening to use the "Nu-cu-lar Option" if those dastardly, Freedom-Hating Dems didn't stop hindering their efforts to save us from ourselves?

It means something here to note that when it was his turn, the Chickenshit Chickenhawk pictured above did actually serve in the United States Army Reserve...for five fucking weeks!

After which he was dismissed with an "unspecified eye problem". (Yeah, right. He couldn't "see" himself wading through a rice paddy with Charlie trying to empty an AK-47 into his fat, cushy Republi-con ass! And then there's all that marching shit and ya have to get up early and call folks sir and...)

He then took two Student Deferments and never looked back. Now he's trying to take the "moral highground" and back his CIC (Chimp In Charge).

Hey Mitch, Go Fuck Yourself you chickenhawk Piece of Shit!

It's Assholes like you who prompt the actions the rest of us in the Reality Based Community will take to send your Hillbilly ass back to ole Kaintuck!

As soon as YouTube staightens it's sorry ass out I will have more posts up on this. It's Ladies Night at deuddersuns, so check back soon and give the gals a chance to speak their minds!

d.

Hmmm...that's not a bad idea...Okay Sisters, here's your chance to reach another audience. Any woman who wants to speak her mind on this subject can e-mail her thoughts to me at 52hammer@gmail.com and I will post it here. If you don't have your own blog but want to have your say, step right up! If you have your own blog, but would like to reach a different audience...same-same. If you want to include a picture with your post, send it and I'll post it. Get to it!

No More War? Start Here!

Dear VoteVets.org Supporter,

We hope you and your loved ones had a healthy and happy Holiday season. Unfortunately, the joyous time hasn't lasted long, as the president has decided to do what the American people, the new Congress, and even many of our commanders on the ground in Iraq do not want - escalate the war in Iraq.

We must act now.

Please take a moment to read two very important pieces on this issue, describing why an escalation of the war is potentially very dangerous. First, this piece by VoteVets.org advisory board member, former General Wesley Clark. General Clark clearly lays out all the reasons why the president's escalation won't help secure Iraq and transition the US out. Second, please read this piece that I penned on why the proposed boost, along with other changes in Iraq, could signal the intention to launch an attack on Iran, and further destabilize the region, threatening US security.

There is something we can do.

Today, Senator Edward M. Kennedy is proposing legislation that would require authorization from Congress before the president could send more troops to Iraq. It is essential that his bill gain a veto-proof majority in Congress. To ensure that margin, we're drafting you into our online Army.

Here are your marching orders:

  • 1) On a piece of paper, write out the names, phone numbers, and emails of five friends and family who will join you in opposing the Bush escalation.
  • 2) Forward this email on to each of them, with a note telling them to sign up at VoteVets.org, call their Senators and Congressman, demanding they support the Kennedy bill, and to recruit five of their friends to do the same. The Capitol switchboard number is 202-224-3121.
  • 3) Place a follow-up call to each of the people on your list, to make sure they acted. When you're sure they did, check their name off on your list.
  • 4) Call your Senator and Congressman and demand they support the Kennedy bill to require authorization before any troop escalation in Iraq. Again, the Capitol switchboard number is 202-224-3121.

Together, we can bring some sanity and responsibility to U.S. military policy, and really support the troops. Let's get to work.

Thank you for supporting the Voice of the 21st Century American Patriot.

Sincerely,

Jon Soltz

Perfect Football Weekend!

Akers Lifts Eagles Over Giants 23-20 - SPORTS - Comcast.net:

Akers Lifts Eagles Over Giants 23-20
By ROB MAADDI, AP Sports Writer
Sun Jan 7, 8:51 PM

Philadelphia Eagles kicker David Akers is picked up by Eagles center Nick Cole after kicking the winning field goal to give the Eagles a 23 - 20 victory over the New York Giants in the NFL wild card football game in Philadelphia Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007. (AP Photo/Rusty Kennedy)

"PHILADELPHIA - The snap was there, the hold was good and the kick was perfect. David Akers hit a 38-yard field goal with no time remaining to give the Philadelphia Eagles a 23-20 victory over the New York Giants in a wild-card playoff game Sunday.

A day after Dallas lost to Seattle when quarterback Tony Romo fumbled the hold on what could have been a go-ahead field goal, the Eagles executed the seemingly routine play that has cost teams important games in recent weeks."

Re: Dallas Cowboys...Bumin'

Sums it up so far, dontcha think?

Kudos to dolidis for a fine montage!

All in all, the games I saw were pretty sloppy with the winners lucky to be where they are, the Eagles included.

Next stop is the Superdome in New Orleans and the New Orleans Saints. The Eagles "D" is going to have to play their best game of the year if the Eagles hope to advance to the NFC Championship game against the winner of the Seattle - Chicago game.

The Eagles face the Saints on Saturday night, 2000 hours, (8:00 p.m. for you civilian types), on January 13, one day after my birthday!

Couldn't ask for a better present than another Eagles' win!

Volunteers! (one mo' time!)

Jefferson Airplane - Volunteers

Volunteers
Look what's happening out in the streets
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Hey I'm dancing down the streets
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Ain't it amazing all the people I meet
Got a revolution Got to revolution
One generation got old
One generation got soul
This generation got no destination to hold
Pick up the cry
Hey now it's time for you and me
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Come on now we're marching to the sea
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Who will take it from you
We will and who are we
We are volunteers of America
Had to post this one again. On the album "Volunteers", this is the second to last track, followed by "We Can Be Together" below. Played together, they stir the sould to action.
I have been asked by Enemy of The Republic what we can actually do other than suffer in silent, impotent rage.
Tomorrow I will tell you.
Stay tuned.
