"IRVING, Texas - The Philadelphia Eagles were supposed to get buried by December road games against all three division foes, especially with retread backup Jeff Garcia running the offense.

Turns out, that challenge was exactly what they needed to grab control of the NFC East."

Ah yes! Sweet, sweet victory! On Christmas Day no less! Poor, poor Chowboyz fans! Coal in yer stockin's' this year! America's Team, my ASS!

The Hardest Workin' Man In Heaven...

Legendary Singer James Brown Dies at 73 - MUSIC - Comcast.net:

"Legendary Singer James Brown Dies at 73

ATLANTA - James Brown, the dynamic, pompadoured 'Godfather of Soul,' whose rasping vocals and revolutionary rhythms made him a founder of rap, funk and disco as well, died early Monday, his agent said. He was 73."

I wasn't going to post again until tomorrow, but respect for a Man of this stature can't wait. So it is with a heavy, heavy heart that I bring you the sad news that "The Godfather of Soul" has died early this morning, Christmas Day.

The gifts he left behind to all of us will keep him alive in our hearts forever! He was one of my childhood heros. I loved the guy. I have posted some vids below. For those of us familiar with his magic, let them re-kindle the fires. For those of us who never knew him, he was truly, the Hardest Workin' Man In Showbiz! His explosive, signature dance moves, his raspy voice that reached out and grabbed you by the face and said, "Listen to me! I'm talkin' to you!", may be imitated, but will never be equaled. His influence on our music and our lives was profound. His stamina and energy were boundless and seemed undimmed by age. I thought he would be here forever. He was, in fact, scheduled to perform this coming weekend at the Count Basie Theatre, in Red Bank, New Yersey.

Now, the Man who, for decades, gave nightmares to millions of Daddies of little white girls, and unbounded thrills to all of us, the Sex Machine, The Godfather of Soul, the Hardest Workin' man In Showbiz, has been called home. To paraphrase a popular lyric from a pop-rock song, "If there's a Rock & Roll Heaven, Well you they got a hell of a band..."

Rock on James!
