Working

I've been doing a little house cleaning here, changed the look, moved some stuff around, still plenty to do tho. Some links and widgets are out of date, others just won't work, guess yer gonna have that.  Not sure who's comment service I'm using, think it's Blogger's, but it works and that's good enough for the moment.  I also need to go thru my link list and see what and who is still active.  I hate to delete links tho, you never know when someone will get bitten by the bug and pop up again with something to say, so if there's a site at the end of the link, active or not, I'll leave it.  A lot of people have put a lot of effort and love into those sites, and if nothing else, they can serve as archives.

So, while I work behind the curtain, I'll leave you to ponder this.

Little blast from the past...

Let's update this, ok? So what, exactly, have we learned over the last 45 years or so? You tell me...

Kittens

This is the last post I will make and I want it to be joyful. About three months ago Mags rescued two feral kittens from the property she works at. We named them Maggie and Chrisy. they are both little healthy females, and while countless experts have told us that they can't be domesticated, somehow Maggie found a way. She is an incredible woman. As soft as she is hard.

Maggie grew up in the toughest Irish neighborhood in Philly, Kensington, and quickly earned a reputation as someone to respect. The rumor there is that she taught Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins how to throw the Philly left hook.

Once, when we were playing around, slap-boxing, I accidently caught her with a good one. While I was shocked, she ducked and drove her little left fist into my floating ribs, rapidly, twice, breaking two of them. She didn't realize what she had done, thinking I was faking as I slumped, holding my side in excrutiating pain, so she hit me three more times in rapid succession. Now that's a girl I can love!

Once, when we were in a Puerto Rican bar in Camden, NJ, a major fight broke out. We were there with a friend and she refused to leave. While the entire place was embroiled in a fist flying, bottle-throwing melee, I hustled her out the back door as weapons were being drawn. Drawing my own I headed back in to cover my friend, only to see the Magster flying back in thru the front door, blasting away with her own little pistola! LOL! If ever a chick had balls, she does.

But her other side is as soft as this one is hard. And that is what enabled her, in spite of all odds, to care for these two little lost souls. To shower them with the same love she gives to me. When my daughters asked her what she was doing with a piece of shit like me, she told them she loved me, and she never deserted those she loved. Kinda sounds like a Marine to me.

And so that is where I am going. To my Mags, to our kittens, to our Cappyboo, our 13 year old wonderful one-eyed dog, to Rachel and Pee, our older kitties, to the love that is true and won't desert me.

And to my business. It is high time I stopped waiting for my career to come to me. I must seek it out. There's a lot of schekels to be had in the Movie biz, as well as rewards uncountable in dollars and cents. I have sacrificed my entire life to get where I am and now I have to put the pedal to the metal and let it go.

I still have my "real" family who love me and I am responsible for them and their well-being.

Peace, Love and best wishes to all.

Wish Me Luck!

As anyone who comes here knows, I love Texas Hold 'em!

That's why I have entered the Pokerstars World Blogger Championship Of Online Poker!

It's simple to register and is open to all bloggers who regularly update their blogs and have been blogging for at least two months! I encourage all of my blogging compatriots to enter.

First of all, Texas Hold 'em is a fun, exciting, easy to learn game. (You can play for free and learn the game at Pokerstars.com) .

Second, and best of all, there's a ton of cash to be won by some lucky player!

So, if you'd like to take a shot at $40,000 and the Title of World Champion, click on one of the links above and go for it!

Pokerstars is, without a doubt, the best Poker site on the web. I have been playing there for almost two years and have never had a complaint. There are more Pros playing there than anywhere-else! Where else can a guy like me sit down next to World Champion Katja Thater and play against a pro for pennies?

It's also the site where my sweetie, daMagster, came in First out of over 8,000 players! Now if daMagster can do it, so can you!

See you at the tables!

Good Luck To All!

Register at one of the links in the post above!

If anyone has any questions about Texas Hold 'em, PokerStars or the tournament, please post them in the comments and I will do my best to answer them.

The Moderate Man

Found this at Brother Mod's place.

Moderate is not only the Founder of the American Patriot Institute, in my opinion, he is one of the smartest members, (well, he's a lot smarter than me, anyway.) Lately he has had a series of posts dealing with our economy and the beating the "middle class" is taking. He also has strong opinions on Gen. Betray-us, the war, Bush and others.

If you've never been there, or haven't stopped by in a while, pay him a visit. You won't be disappointed. As an example, I offer this:

Sounds True To Me...

Semper Fidelis, Brother!

New Item - Film & TV Credits

The Grand Ballroom from Enchanted, in theaters November 21st - don't miss it!

Four Legends in the Bizniz: deuddersun (aka Snaggle), Ed "Young Ed" Ferarro, Andy "Cowboy" Gangloff, and Glen "The Snake" Pangione

Many of my readers have wondered what kind of films I work on. To satisfy your curiosity I have included a partial credit list in the sidebar, all the way down on the left. The list is partial because it's all I can remember at the moment.

Look for Enchanted to hit theaters November 21st. It is a terrific film in the great Disney tradition and is sure to please both young and old. It's a great movie for kids, (and how many of those are there anymore?).

Now, about the gentlemen shown above. They are all legends. Cowboy has since retired and believe me we miss him sorely. Young Ed is my rabbi and mentor. Together we built OZ in six weeks, soup to nuts. Snake is not only a terrific craftsman and coordinator, but a good friend and hell on a poker table.

Hope you enjoy the list. I'm sure you've seen at least one of the shows listed.

Sayzero...Poker Star?

Sayzero. What a hero!

Most of you know that I enjoy playing on-line poker. So does my Brother scroff and his lady Ruthalla. It seems that a real American Patriot, sayzero, took umbrage at Ruthalla's avatar and proceeded to browbeat her during the time they played together in a $200 tournament.

As if that wasn't enough, sayzero, our hero, (gee it rhymnes!), didn't feel that verbally assaulting a real American was enough, he had to google her and came upon Any Which Way, where he took it upon himself to defend his country and his president further, by abusing my brother Scroff, and his military service to our nation.

Here is an excerpt of the e-mail he sent to Ruhalla:

"You're a disgusting piece of shit for a human being. Also, you have little to no education has you pretended. I know more about you than you do about me. You are not anonymous now you filthy piece of shit you. I see per this site your ignorance knows no bounds. I mean really, the hits are on this site (your absurd assbackwards views) are like you, dismal. Tell Scroff or whatever the Loser's name is that he is a dishonor to his country too.

Who knows, maybe one day I might want to meet you face to face just so I can spit in yours!"

Nice, huh?
It is actions like this that just endear the Republicunts to those of us on the Left side of the aisle.

Well, sayzero, I will say "Zero", because that's what you are cupcake. You claim to be a Veteran and yet when we google you, the above picture is what we come up with. A character in a children's video game. I suggest you change your name at Poker Stars because I will be looking for you.

And if meeting me on-line doesn't do it for you, e-mail me at the link above and I'll meet you face to face, where-upon I, a real Veteran, will kindly rip off your empty fucking head and shit down your fucking neck.

Got me turdblossom?

Don't fuck with my family!

By the way, Ruthalla beat his sorry ass and placed 2nd in the Tournament! You go girl!

scroff, have you considered forwarding these threats to Poker Stars and having his account deleted?

Now I've Done it!

Woke up this morning around 0300 hours (3 a.m.) and went on my usual romp around the blogosphere. Saw Spadoman's new blog and Mod's and for some reason, I went temporarily insane...I switched to the NEW Blogger!
(Oh shit! How do I un-fuck this?)
What made me do it was basically the fact that I am one of those dinosaurs still roaming the planet who is computer illiterate. What I know is this, when I turn the machine on, I want it to work. When I post something on Blogger, I want it to work. I have neither the time nor the desire to learn html, css, ftd, lsd, wtf? I just want to be able to post shit and see it happen!

So I took the tour. "Just drag and drop! No sweat!" "We transfer your entire blog! Oboy!" Well, you can imagine what this meant to a guy like me! So I hit the "Switch Now" button.

Great! But the main reason I did that was so that I could add things to my template without going cross-eyed trying to figure out where, in that spaghetti mess of html, shit went! That's the hitch! See, you have to "upgrade" your template too. So I did.

Wrong!

First of all, mebrudder, scroff, spent considerable time and effort not too long ago updating this place and organizing shit for me. Anytime I wanted to change anything here I had to get scroff to do it. For instance, I have wanted to add the API logo and my Union logo for some time now, but every time I looked at the template page I just shuddered and said fuck it. I hate bothering mebrudder every time I want to make a change, I just wanted to be able to do it myself!

Well, I did it. As you can see, there's shit missing here, like my fucking links! I don't know why they didn't transfer over! Blogger "help" is no help at all and I can't even find a way to contact these guys that will give me a response. My counter is also gone and some other shit I just don't remember now, oh yeah, Haloscan commenting! I like Haloscan. They give me everybody's IP and source and allow me to delete, edit or ban comments and commenters. I want them back! Blogger told me when I switched that they would keep a "backup" of my old site and I could change back if I wanted to, but I'm dammed if I can find it.

So, the bottom line here is that while I like having the ability to "drag & drop" in my template, I may have to redo all my links, which is going to piss me off to no end since I'm sure I'll miss someone that I want included! This is dam near enough to drive me to the bottle and may even cause me to crush a kitten or two...

Anyway, I'll be tinkering with this all day. At some point I may even get it straightened out. If not I'll be doing exactly what I tried to avoid doing...being a pain in the ass to mebrudder, scroff.

Wish me luck!
